BETTS is appx 3 yrs old & is available for adoption!! Sweet, snuggable BETTS is a total lovemuffin of a dog!! She is ready for a home of her very own & has all the love in world to give!! BETTS came to us by way of our UNchain Bernalillo County support program when her previous guardian was unwilling to provide for her within the new zero tolerance anti tethering ordinance. We agreed to take BETTS into the NMDOG program & provide her with the life she deserves!! A home of her own with a family that adores her & the care every dog is entitled to! BETTS is just a perfect medium size of appx 45 lbs & is full grown. BETTS is full of affection to give & eager to learn about the new world around her. As long as she has someone wonderful to walk by her side...she will excel in anything she sets her mind to. BETTS would make a wonderful family dog in a home with older children that can participate with her training, or as a BFF to one special person. BETTS walks well on a leash & rides super in the car. She loves vanilla ice cream cones & sunset walks along the river!! Currently BETTS is in a wonderful foster home, with foster siblings of all shapes & sizes..cats too! She is housetrained & cratetrained. BETTS will need a minimum 5 ft chainlink or wooden fence to keep her safe...no block walls. Contact us today to arrange for a meet & greet with BETTS in your home! As an all volunteer, foster based rescue, NMDOG is ALWAYS in need of new, approved foster homes in order to continue our work SAVING LIVES!! If you see a dog that you are interested in & it says "NEEDS FOSTER", we are currently looking for a temporary foster home for that dog in order to remove him/her from their present situation. After leaving all of that behind & for the first time ever, IRIE had regular, nutritious meals, medical care & LoVe. Today, IRIE is a treasured Pibble Princess who adores her new pampered life! She is great with other dogs (no kitties for IRIE please), she walks perfect on her leash + harness, is cratetrained, housetrained & rides well in the car. This little Diva Dog loves to lounge around on the couch & prefers to spend a good part of her time inside. Due to her white fur & pink skin, long exposure to the sun is a no no. When IRIE is out in the sun with her peeps, going for walks, hikes or just cruising around town....she will need to wear sunscreen on her ears & nose & she even comes with her own stylish pink pair of doggie shades to keep the sun out of her eyes! RODEO is in need of a foster home & he is also available for adoption! RODEO lived a lonely, scary life on the streets of Meadowlake, Valencia County NM. After a careful capture, he was loaded into the NMDOG van & rushed to receive the medical care he so desperately needed. After weeks of recovery, RODEO has made a full recovery from his ordeal. Today, RODEO is a bouncy, carefree, happy go lucky little guy who makes friends everywhere he goes! RODEO is right around 18 mos old, weighs appx 45# & we dont expect him to get any bigger. He gets along great with other dogs, walks great on his leash + harness & LoooVes to go for rides in the car..where he behaves like a perfect gentleman! NMDOG ROSCOE is available for adoption!! ROSCOE was found by an NMDOG volunteer, wandering alone...skinny, cold, hungry & scared. We scooped him up into the program & provided him with the care he so desperately needed. What we didnt know was just how much care he was going to require (though we would do it all over again in a heartbeat!) Shortly after entering the NMDOG program, ROSCOE began showing concerning symptoms & was diagnosed with a case of Discospondylitis. Basically, a severe infection of the spine. If left untreated, he would have eventually been left paralyzed with pain & would have ultimately died a horrible death. We are so grateful he found his way to us & just in the nick of time! After a battery of diagnostics, including an MRI....the specialist treating ROSCOE was finally able to get him on just the right regimen of pain meds & antibiotics that would put an end to this debilitating disease! ROSCOE also underwent months of weekly physical therapy sessions concentrated on rebuilding his strength & the muscles that this disease broke down. ROSCOE has now made a full recovery, after almost a years worth of treatment. He has been given the all clear by his exceptional medical TEAM to find his very own, loving FoReVeR home...with no further treatment required. This is the amazing news we have all been working so hard towards & now we are searching for the family of his dreams! ROSCOE will always walk a tab bit "funny" as a result of his previous medical condition, but well...that is part of what makes ROSCOE the adorable, endearing little snickerdoodle that he is. He definitely is not lacking in the personality department..this kiddo is full. of. himself. (in a good way!) He is prancy & dancy...he can run & play with the best of them & oh boy howdy...he certainly does! ROSCOE is currently in the great care of an NMDOG foster home where he shares his days & nights with many other dogs of all shapes & sizes....& couple of kitties! He does great with everyone & has never met a human or other creature that he didnt immediately like! ROSCOE is also amazing with kids....but we are seeking a home with no small children as to avoid sitting on, leaning on or jumping on his rear end. With all of the hard work that ROSCOE has done in his long road to recovery, we dont want to put him at risk of future injury (though his doctors tell us we are being a bit overprotective, well....what can we say). ROSCOE is housetrained, cratetrained, loves to go for rides in the car & he walks like the perfect little gentleman dog that he is on his leash + harness. ROSCOE is just over a year old & weighs appx 40# - we dont expect that he will get any bigger. Please consider opening your heart & your home to this amazing little Wonder Dog that could! He gave full recovery his absolute all & he was a champion all the way through! He deserves to now have the very best that life can offer! This is where he existed alone since his young days as a puppy....right after someone chopped off his beautiful ears. This rescue took place at the same time one of our hero police officers was being laid to rest after tragically loosing his life in the line of duty. APD Officer Dan Webster was a brave hero....so is our boy WEBBY. We couldnt think of a better way to honor them both...so that is how WEBSTER got his name. WEBSTER has been able to put his sad past behind him since coming into our care & he has blossomed into the happy, healthy dog he was always meant to be. WEBSTER is a loverboy....he loves more than anything to snuggle up close to his people for belly rubs, ear scratches & pets. He nuzzles his sweet face right into your neck & gives grateful kisses in return. He is also a champion ball player & looooves a great game of fetch! WEBSTER walks well on his leash + harness, he is cratetrained, housetrained & rides perfect in the car. WEBSTER is going to make a wonderful addition to a wonderful home as a treasured member of the family. He is great with kids & other dogs....but no cats for this handsome boy. WEBSTER is also a graduate of **505 Pit Crew**...an awesome training class that many of our Bully breeds participate in. He is super smart, motivated & eager to please. This kiddo will excel at any task put before him & he has a ton of untapped potential still waiting to be realized. Currently, WEBSTER stays at the NMDOG kennels while he waits for a Foster or FoReVeR home to call his own. Please help us make this very deserving boys wildest dreams come true....send us an email today to arrange a meet & greet with WEBSTER in your home. Either as his treasured Foster Guardian, or as his FoReVeR Guardian Angel.
