Quality Mazda Dog of the Month October: Webster

| October 9, 2018

Webster is an incredible dog who embodies heroism, bravery, resilience, and honor! We received his plea for help while I was at the Webster residence watching the pups for the family during the memorial service of APD Officer Dan Webster. Officer Webster was shot in the line of duty on 10/21/15—his End Of Watch was 10/29/15. I knew right away that we would take this poor chained dog, and name him in honor of a Hero. That’s how he got the name Webster. The Websters have always been great supporters of NMDOG and huge dog lovers. Webster’s fave color is blue (for obvious reasons) and he wears it proudly in honor of all fallen law enforcement heroes and their families.

Once chained up all alone in the northern part of the state…Webster suffered from loneliness and despair. Once he realized he was rescued, safe, and in the arms of those that treasured him, his true spirit began to blossom, and soon.. he was adopted. But sadly, he was recently returned to NMDOG when his adopter moved away, choosing not to take Webster with him. “Once an NMDOG, always an NMDOG”…that is a promise we make to all of our kiddos!! So, after three years in what we thought would be his forever home, Webster came back NMDOG and is again in need of a wonderful, loving family to call his very own. This time , for real! Webster is now six years old. He is great with other dogs AND kids! He walks well on his leash + harness, knows basic commands, and gives the best hugs and kisses. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and rides great in the car. It is a very lucky family that will welcome Webster into their hearts and their home. He is simply one of the most amazing and loving dogs around. Not to mention… strikingly handsome!

Webster is a looker!
